211fc7e416 crypto: support upto 5 parallel certificate identities
The default (required) identity is stored in server-cert.pem /
client-cert.pem and server-key.pem / client-key.pem.

The 4 extra (optional) identities are stored in server-cert-$N.pem /
client-cert-$N.pem and server-key-$N.pem / client-key-$N.pem. The
numbering starts at 0 and the first missing cert/key pair will
terminate the loading process.

e82fccb4a3 crypto: reduce duplication in handling TLS priority strings
The logic for setting the TLS priority string on a session object has a
significant amount of logic duplication across the different credential
types. By recording the extra priority string suffix against the
credential class, we can introduce a common method for building the
priority string. The TLS session can now set the priority string without
caring about the credential type.

7e0c22d585 io/crypto: Move tls premature termination handling into QIO layer
QCryptoTLSSession allows TLS premature termination in two cases, one of the
case is when the channel shutdown() is invoked on READ side.

It's possible the shutdown() happened after the read thread blocked at
gnutls_record_recv().  In this case, we should allow the premature
termination to happen.

The problem is by the time qcrypto_tls_session_read() was invoked,
tioc->shutdown may not have been set, so this may instead be treated as an
error if there is concurrent shutdown() calls.

To allow the flag to reflect the latest status of tioc->shutdown, move the
check upper into the QIOChannel level, so as to read the flag only after
QEMU gets an GNUTLS_E_PREMATURE_TERMINATION.

When at it, introduce qio_channel_tls_allow_premature_termination() helper
to make the condition checks easier to read.  When doing so, change the
qatomic_load_acquire() to qatomic_read(): here we don't need any ordering
of memory accesses, but reading a flag.  qatomic_read() would suffice
because it guarantees fetching from memory.  Nothing else we should need to
order on memory access.

This patch will fix a qemu qtest warning when running the preempt tls test,
reporting premature termination:

qemu-kvm: Cannot read from TLS channel: The TLS connection was non-properly terminated.
...

In this specific case, the error was set by postcopy_preempt_thread, which
normally will be concurrently shutdown()ed by the main thread.

22ece1a6eb crypto/hmac: Allow to build hmac over multiple qcrypto_gnutls_hmac_bytes[v] calls
If the buffers that should be considered for building the hmac are not
available at the same time, the current API is unsuitable. Extend it so
that passing a NULL pointer as result_len is used as indicator that
further buffers will be passed in succeeding calls to
qcrypto_gnutls_hmac_bytes[v].

24ad5e1995 crypto: implement workaround for GNUTLS thread safety problems
When TLS 1.3 is negotiated on a TLS session, GNUTLS will perform
automatic rekeying of the session after 16 million records. This
is done for all algorithms except CHACHA20_POLY1305 which does
not require rekeying.

Unfortunately the rekeying breaks GNUTLS' promise that it is safe
to use a gnutls_session_t object concurrently from multiple threads
if they are exclusively calling gnutls_record_send/recv.

This patch implements a workaround for QEMU that adds a mutex lock
around any gnutls_record_send/recv call to serialize execution
within GNUTLS code. When GNUTLS calls into the push/pull functions
we can release the lock so the OS level I/O calls can at least
have some parallelism.

The big downside of this is that the actual encryption/decryption
code is fully serialized, which will halve performance of that
cipher operations if two threads are contending.

The workaround is not enabled by default, since most use of GNUTLS
in QEMU does not tickle the problem, only non-multifd migration
with a return path open is affected. Fortunately the migration
code also won't trigger the halving of performance, since only
the outbound channel diretion needs to sustain high data rates,
the inbound direction is low volume.

0b8a70d70f crypto: Remove qcrypto_tls_session_get_handshake_status
The correct way of calling qcrypto_tls_session_handshake() requires
calling qcrypto_tls_session_get_handshake_status() right after it so
there's no reason to have a separate method.

Refactor qcrypto_tls_session_handshake() to inform the status in its
own return value and alter the callers accordingly.

No functional change.

ab1cb3683b crypto: Allow gracefully ending the TLS session
QEMU's TLS session code provides no way to call gnutls_bye() to
terminate a TLS session. Callers of qcrypto_tls_session_read() can
choose to ignore a GNUTLS_E_PREMATURE_TERMINATION error by setting the
gracefulTermination argument.

The QIOChannelTLS ignores the premature termination error whenever
shutdown() has already been issued. This was found to be not enough for
the migration code because shutdown() might not have been issued before
the connection is terminated.

Add support for calling gnutls_bye() in the tlssession layer so users
of QIOChannelTLS can clearly identify the end of a TLS session.

Introduce the SM3 cryptographic hash algorithm (GB/T 32905-2016).

SM3 (GB/T 32905-2016) is a cryptographic standard issued by the
Organization of State Commercial Cryptography Administration (OSCCA)
as an authorized cryptographic algorithm for use within China.

Detect the SM3 cryptographic hash algorithm and enable the feature silently
if it is available.

190feb4884 crypto: accumulative hashing API
Changes the hash API to support accumulative hashing.
Hash objects are created with "qcrypto_hash_new",
updated with data with "qcrypto_hash_update", and
the hash obtained with "qcrypto_hash_finalize".

These changes bring the hashing API more in line with the
hmac API.

We could simply drop 'prefix', but then the prefix becomes
QCRYPTO_IV_GEN_ALGORITHM, which is rather long.

We could additionally rename the type to QCryptoIVGenAlg, but I think
the abbreviation "alg" is less than clear.

Rename the type to QCryptoIVGenAlgo instead.  The prefix becomes
QCRYPTO_IV_GEN_ALGO.

97f7bf113e crypto: propagate errors from TLS session I/O callbacks
GNUTLS doesn't know how to perform I/O on anything other than plain
FDs, so the TLS session provides it with some I/O callbacks. The
GNUTLS API design requires these callbacks to return a unix errno
value, which means we're currently loosing the useful QEMU "Error"
object.

This changes the I/O callbacks in QEMU to stash the "Error" object
in the QCryptoTLSSession class, and fetch it when seeing an I/O
error returned from GNUTLS, thus preserving useful error messages.

57941c9c86 crypto: push error reporting into TLS session I/O APIs
The current TLS session I/O APIs just return a synthetic errno
value on error, which has been translated from a gnutls error
value. This looses a large amount of valuable information that
distinguishes different scenarios.

Pushing population of the "Error *errp" object into the TLS
session I/O APIs gives more detailed error information.

formation of LUKS volumes with detachable headers. To accomplish

9ad5c4e7ee crypto: Support LUKS volume with detached header
By enhancing the LUKS driver, it is possible to implement
the LUKS volume with a detached header.

Normally a LUKS volume has a layout:
  disk:  | header | key material | disk payload data |

With a detached LUKS header, you need 2 disks so getting:
  disk1:  | header | key material |
  disk2:  | disk payload data |

There are a variety of benefits to doing this:
 * Secrecy - the disk2 cannot be identified as containing LUKS
             volume since there's no header
 * Control - if access to the disk1 is restricted, then even
             if someone has access to disk2 they can't unlock
             it. Might be useful if you have disks on NFS but
             want to restrict which host can launch a VM
             instance from it, by dynamically providing access
             to the header to a designated host
 * Flexibility - your application data volume may be a given
                 size and it is inconvenient to resize it to
                 add encryption.You can store the LUKS header
                 separately and use the existing storage
                 volume for payload
 * Recovery - corruption of a bit in the header may make the
              entire payload inaccessible. It might be
              convenient to take backups of the header. If
              your primary disk header becomes corrupt, you
              can unlock the data still by pointing to the
              backup detached header

Take the raw-format image as an example to introduce the usage
of the LUKS volume with a detached header:

1. prepare detached LUKS header images
$ dd if=/dev/zero of=test-header.img bs=1M count=32
$ dd if=/dev/zero of=test-payload.img bs=1M count=1000
$ cryptsetup luksFormat --header test-header.img test-payload.img
> --force-password --type luks1

2. block-add a protocol blockdev node of payload image
$ virsh qemu-monitor-command vm '{"execute":"blockdev-add",
> "arguments":{"node-name":"libvirt-1-storage", "driver":"file",
> "filename":"test-payload.img"}}'

3. block-add a protocol blockdev node of LUKS header as above.

4. object-add the secret for decrypting the cipher stored in
   LUKS header above

5. block-add the raw-drived blockdev format node

6. block-add the luks-drived blockdev to link the raw disk
   with the LUKS header by specifying the field "header"

7. hot-plug the virtio-blk device finally

Starting a VM with a LUKS volume with detached header is
somewhat similar to hot-plug in that both maintaining the
same json command while the starting VM changes the
"blockdev-add/device_add" parameters to "blockdev/device".

9ea17007c4 target/riscv: Use existing lookup tables for MixColumns
The AES MixColumns and InvMixColumns operations are relatively
expensive 4x4 matrix multiplications in GF(2^8), which is why C
implementations usually rely on precomputed lookup tables rather than
performing the calculations on demand.

Given that we already carry those tables in QEMU, we can just grab the
right value in the implementation of the RISC-V AES32 instructions. Note
that the tables in question are permuted according to the respective
Sbox, so we can omit the Sbox lookup as well in this case.

f703f1ef99 bulk: Do not declare function prototypes using 'extern' keyword
By default, C function prototypes declared in headers are visible,
so there is no need to declare them as 'extern' functions.
Remove this redundancy in a single bulk commit; do not modify:

  - meson.build (used to check function availability at runtime)
  - pc-bios/

db5ca5fbfa crypto: Introduce akcipher crypto class
Introduce new akcipher crypto class 'QCryptoAkCIpher', which supports
basic asymmetric operations: encrypt, decrypt, sign and verify.

Suggested by Daniel P. Berrangé, also add autoptr cleanup for the new

Header guard symbols should match their file name to make guard
collisions less likely.

Cleaned up with scripts/clean-header-guards.pl, followed by some
renaming of new guard symbols picked by the script to better ones.
